Most Improved Golfer – 2007

The method for determining the Most Improved Golfer is found on page 131 of the 2006-2007 “USGA Handicap System.”  For our purposes we are comparing indexes in effect on January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2007.

 Example:

               22.6 index in January 1, 2007 and a 17.4 index in December 31, 2007

               Value A:  Take the January 1, 2007 index 22.6 add 12 =34.6

               Value B:  Take the December 31, 2007 index 17.4 add 12 = 29.4

               A/B:    34.6/29.4 = 1.177 (improvement factor)

The answer needs to be (3) decimal places.
